Hello There!

I am Andy Scheblein and I have been doing graphic design, motion graphics, and video production work professionally for 20ish years. Now I get the privilege to distill my knowledge, from decades of doing, and teach it to students.

Teaching Philosophy

I believe in a hands-on, experiential approach to learning. The best way for students to grasp the complexities of multimedia is through direct, practical engagement with the tools and techniques of the craft.

I will encourage them to take risks, experiment with creative ideas, and learn through trial and error. By focusing on project-based learning, I believe they will actively apply the concepts of digital art in real-world scenarios, gaining confidence and technical proficiency with each project.

Collaboration is another key aspect of my teaching philosophy. Multimedia is inherently a team effort, and by working in groups, they will develop essential communication and problem-solving skills while learning to adapt to different roles within a production.

My goal is to foster an environment where the students feel empowered to explore your creative potential while building a strong foundation in the technical and storytelling aspects of digital production. This hands-on approach will equip them with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the fast-paced world of digital art.

These are other areas of teaching that are important in my growth

I strive to create a place where anyone feels at safe. Where students are respected for who they are, and empowered by equitable practices that ensure fair treatment and opportunity for all.
